The schedule for The International 11, the largest Dota tournament of the year, has been revealed by Valve. The event will be held in Singapore from October 8 to 30, 2022.
This year’s The International is much longer than the typical one week and a half that was implemented for previous iterations of the tournament.
The last chance qualifier will begin on October 8 to 12, with upper and lower division teams from each region competing in a double-elimination bracket to determine an additional representative for that region.
Once these teams have been determined, the tournament will move to a group stage format from October 15 to 18. Twenty of the best Dota squads in the world will then contend for 16 spots in the double-elimination playoff bracket.
The playoffs of Dota 2 TI11 will take place in SunTec Singapore, one of the largest convention areas in Southeast Asia (SEA), from October 20 to 23.
The Grand Final of the International 11 will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from October 29 to 30, one week after the final match of the playoffs.
There will be ticketed events for both the playoffs and the grand finals, with further details to be provided at a later date.
In addition to the TI11 schedule, Valve has confirmed that the Dota Plus June update for Dota 2 will be released on June 8. This will include the 7.31d Gameplay Update, a seasonal refresh, and new features.
