Garena Free Fire has announced a new team challenge for its new Bomb Squad: 5v5 mode running from June 3 to 12, 2022. The event will occur prior to the June 10 release of the latest game mode updates, which will include a brand-new Bomb Squad map, optimized systems, and time-limited ranked modes for players.
New map and systems introduced in Bomb Squad: 5v5
With Bomb Squad’s new 5v5 matchmaking system, teams will be required to deviate from their typical combat strategies. With a larger roster, players will require new strategies and tactics to achieve victory. In-game mode enhancements include a new buy request system and randomized store system, among others.
El Pastelo, a lively Bomb Squad map, will be released on June 10 to provide players with an additional challenge. The new map will offer players a faster-paced and more strategic combat experience.
Daily warm-up missions
On June 3, players will encounter a revamped interface when they enter the virtual world of Free Fire.
With daily warm-up missions, teams can begin to develop their strategies and teamwork in preparation for the ultimate battle on June 10.
Teams that survive the 10-minute, 15-minute, and 30-minute marks during warm-up missions will receive tokens.
The tokens can then be redeemed for exclusive items, such as the Imprinted Trap Grenade skin, which can be used in the next battle.

The ultimate challenge that teams and players have been preparing for will finally occur on June 10.
Teams that participate in the Bomb Squad ranked challenge, and Bomb Squad ranked defeat challenge will be eligible for additional rewards from June 10 to June 16.
Additionally, players who log in on June 11 will receive an exclusive Ballin’ n Brawlin’ baseball bat.

On June 11 at 13:00 GMT +8, pro teams from the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka will compete in a 5v5 Bomb Squad tournament with the new mode and map. The first-ever bomb squad tournament involving these four nations will be broadcasted live.
Bloody Heads will represent the Philippines in this tournament, with Free Fire partner influencers Pedro Caryaz and Klutzy Gaming hosting the Tagalog livestream and providing commentary.
On June 11, Free Fire Philippines’s Facebook page will broadcast a friendly cross-country exhibition match.
