vivo has launched the vivo X80 and the vivo X80 Pro in the Philippines. The latest additions to its flagship lineup feature MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. Check out the X80 series specs, features, and prices below.
Both new premium flagships are designed in partnership with ZEISS Optics imaging technology, offering “superb camera capabilities” such as cinematic video recording, superior night photography, and enhanced image stabilization.
Alongside the vivo X80 series is the introduction of the vivo V1+, vivo’s proprietary chip designed to enhance the photography capabilities, display, and gaming capabilities of the new flagships. A ‘dual-processing system’ will enable the vivo V1+ to work in tandem with the flagship’s primary CPU.
Both devices offer 6.78-inch AMOLEDs, 50MP main cameras, and 80W fast charging. The operating system is Funtouch OS 12, based on Android 12.
The X80 Pro gets a more advanced 120Hz LTPO3 AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. Its quad rear camera module is composed of Samsung 50MP 1/1.3″ GNV sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX 598 ultrawide shooter, a 12MP Sony IMX 663 portrait lens with 2x zoom, and an 8MP periscope with 5x optical zoom. There’s a big 4,700 mAh battery that charges at up to 80W speeds thru USB-C and up to 50W wirelessly.
Meanwhile, vivo X80 features an FHD+ Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The triple rear camera setup is comprised of a 50MP Sony IMX 866 primary camera, a 12MP portrait sensor with 2x zoom, and a 12MP Sony IMX 663 ultrawide lens. The smartphone gets a slightly smaller 4,500 mAh battery that still supports 80W wired charging.
