Sibol on Monday has announced that only one team received a direct invite for Phase 2 League of Legends qualifiers.
The lone invited LoL team is AcadArena. The squad will be bannered by Jermyn “OG Usagi” Moa, Jerome “OG Relevancez” Victoria, John Leomarc “OG Leomarc” Alonzo, Kieron “OG Duck Man” Cronin, and Willian “OG Ego” Cronin.
According to Sibol, Phase 2 is the playoffs stage, wherein the top eight teams will battle it out to earn the right to represent the Philippines in the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).
Meanwhile, tryouts for Mobile Legends and Wild Rift representatives have been concluded, declaring the country’s representatives for the said games.
League of Legends PC is one of the 8 esports titles to be featured in the 31st SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, which will take place in May 2022. This will be the first time League of Legends to be played in the biennial multi-sport meet, as it’s not included in the SEA Games 2019, where esports debut as a medal event.
